8 is great, Trip to Salt Lake, Baptism

We all went with Chris' mom to Salt Lake after Sophie's 8th birthday but before her baptism to get Baptism things and walk around Temple Square. It was a beautiful drive with all the fall colors. We stayed at Little America, and the kids loved being in a hotel. We don't usually stay in hotels so the pool was a treat. Gaga offered to buy Sophie's scriptures, so we walked around City Creek, the new awesome mall across from Temple Square. Gaga did a session at the SLC temple on Friday night, and Chris and I went Sat. mornings. We ate Lion House rolls, I did a LOT of shopping at H&M for clothes for my training job. and we walked around Temple Square with a quick tour of the Conference Center. It was a quick trip but super fun.

Sophie wanted a Beanie Boo Birthday cake and this was the best I could do. :)  She liked it though.

We only did a family party this year because of our trip to Salt Lake and Fall Holiday always falls on her birthday and lots of her friends are out of town.

Then we went to The Bowl for her birthday.  She invited Teagan to come too!  Teagan is her good friend from Saddle Peak Elementary.

Then we went to Wasabi for dinner.  It is a Japanese type restaurant where they cook right in front of you.

Sophie's big Baptism Day.  Gaga made her this towel.  Tracy, Tim, Cole and Rhett came too, and Kendall and Tyson came up.  Kendall and Cole played a cello and piano duet of the baptism song.  The day was perfect.  Dad had to baptize her twice because her toe came up on the first try! :)
