Glacier Natl Park ~ Coeur D' Alene~ Silverwood

I have two weeks basically off from work!!! Yahoo. We decided to go to Glacier again and see if we could get better weather. We went up threw Seeley Lake area and stopped off at Salmon Lake and let the kids swim. The water was just right and so I joined the kids. We swam from buoy to buoy. The water was very clear, but once in with the kids, it looked black and scary. Then we drove past Seeley and Flathead lake into beautiful Glacier country. We love it and if we were to move, it would be to this area of Montana.

We made it to the KOA in West Glacier.  We love KOA's.  They offer great amenities and we have yet to have a bad experience at one.

The cousins got an earlier start to the day, so we met them up there at the KOA.
We had gorgeous weather for Glacier.

We took the kids to Silverwood amusement park in Idaho.  We had spotty weather but the kids didn't notice.

This was going from the wet park to the dry park.
While we were getting food on the dry park section of the park, I asked Sophie if she was going to go on a roller coaster with me and she said yes!  So we waited in line and I asked her a couple of times if she was sure.  The rollercoaster said it got up to 60 mph, but she wanted to show she was as brave as Gunner who went on a mega scary ride with Chris at the Noah's Ark water park in Wisconsin last summer.  This is us as we were next in line.  Tremors is the name of the ride and she did great.  She said it was terrifying and made her sick, but I am proud of her.  It was faster than I thought.  When we got home a neighbor said it was the 5th scariest rollercoaster ride in the US at one point.  What?  It was pretty scary. :)
Gunner won this guy at one of game spots.  Made Sophie really mad but she eventually got over it.
We have a tradition at my mom's house where we take the kids to our favorite thrift stores when we are there and there is a favorite one where the lady hides a few lobster animals for the kids to find.  Then they can pick out a free prize.  Sophie found this guy, a TY beanie boo.  Lucky girl.  Just what she needed...LOL.

And we came home to fresh, ripe peaches.  Now I have one more week off of work and I am catching up on sleep and other random things.
